Virgin BIO hemp oil is composed of as much as 80% essential fatty acids, which is more than any other plant. It has an ideal ratio of Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids. Hemp oil is so similar to the lipids of our skin that it easily penetrates inside our cells, moisturising the space between them and consequently delivering essential fatty acids into the body. In this way the oil plays a preventive role in combating skin ageing and maintains a healthy moisture balance in and on the skin.
Hemp oil alleviates many problems associated with acne, minor abrasions, psoriasis and eczema. It is also the only plant oil that contains vitamin D, which is essential for calcium absorption, making it particularly beneficial for vegans.
