Cocoa butter in pieces – refined (deodorised)

Cocoa butter protects and shields the skin, strengthens its natural defences, and promotes its renewal. African women have been using cocoa butter for centuries to care for their bodies and protect their skin against various weather conditions (sun, cold, and wind).

Cocoa butter is rich in nutrients, vitamin E, and powerful antioxidants that neutralise free radicals and protect the skin from premature ageing and environmental damage. The butter absorbs deeply, prevents moisture loss, additionally hydrates the skin, and maintains its elasticity while restoring softness. 

It reduces the signs of dry and cracked skin, smooths fine lines, and the beneficial compounds in cocoa protect and nourish skin exposed to the sun. Thanks to its unique properties, it also helps maintain and prolong a tan and contributes to an even skin tone. Cocoa butter does not contain a sun protection factor.

The butter is packaged in alu/pe/paper bags or PE buckets!

Recipe for Mango & Citrus Body Butter

Ingredients for approx. 100 ml of butter:

· 10 g beeswax or jojoba wax

· 25 g cocoa butter

· 30 g shea butter

· 25 g mango butter

· 1 teaspoon (5 ml) almond oil

· 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vitamin E

· 20 drops of citrus essential oil (we suggest 10 drops of lime, 5 drops of orange, and 5 drops of lemon)

Method:

1. Melt the beeswax and the cocoa, shea, and mango butters in a double boiler. Leave the melted mixture on low heat for a further 20 minutes to prevent a grainy texture from forming as it cools.

2. After 20 minutes, add the almond oil and vitamin E and heat on low for a few more minutes.

3. Remove the mixture from the heat and add the essential oils while stirring.

4. The mixture can be cooled in a cold water bath and stirred occasionally with a hand mixer or a wire whisk.

5. Before the mixture sets, pour it into the prepared container and allow it to cool completely.
