German chamomile hydrosol

Origin: England

Description and benefits: Obtained by steam distillation of chamomile flowers. It soothes and relaxes irritated and problematic skin. Also useful for facial cleansing or as a tonic, even for problematic skin conditions such as breakouts, eczema, rosacea, couperose, and similar. Due to its gentle nature, chamomile hydrosol is also excellent for cleansing sensitive baby skin. It can, for example, be added to bathwater for toddlers, or gently sprayed on their sleeping pillow for a calming effect on your little one.

Use it to moisten cotton pads and make compresses for the eyes to reduce dark circles, or add it to natural skin or hair care products. It is also excellent for moisturising sun-burnt skin; in this case it can be mixed with an equal part of lavender hydrosol. Mixed with green, white, red, pink, or yellow Argiletz clay, it creates a nourishing face mask.
Chamomile hydrosol is also used to calm your pets by either spraying the hydrosol directly on them or around them, especially before stressful situations such as a vet visit, stormy weather, etc.

Uses for hydrosols: as an addition to baths, to make excellent masks with Argiletz cosmetic clay (green, white, red, pink, yellow) by using them instead of water or tea, for moisturising the face before applying creams, as a tonic that revives, refreshes, and renews facial skin, they can be sprayed on instead of perfume, used instead of room fresheners, for scenting bed linen, for aromatherapy instead of or in combination with essential oils,…

Usage instructions: Shake before use. Face cleansing: Moisten a cotton pad with the hydrosol and cleanse the facial skin using circular motions; repeat if necessary. Toner/facial spray: Spray onto cleansed facial skin before applying moisturiser. Avoid contact with eyes. Repeat several times a day as needed for refreshment. Face mask: Mix with Argiletz clay and apply to cleansed face. Leave on for 10 – 15 minutes, rinse with water, moisturise the skin with the hydrosol and apply a moisturising cream or plant oil. Bath: Pour some hydrosol into a bath filled with water and enjoy its beneficial effects. Hair care: Spray onto freshly washed hair and massage into the scalp. Rinsing is not necessary. Storage: Store hydrosols in a dark, cool place, ideally in the refrigerator, as this effectively inhibits the growth of bacteria that might develop over time. After opening, use the hydrosol within six months.
