Green clay
INCI: Illite, Kaolin, Montmorillonite
The absorbent properties of green clay are put to excellent use in beauty treatments, as it excels at drawing out impurities and toxins from the skin; the clay also tones, firms, and stimulates blood circulation. Using green clay minimises pores, gently removes dead skin cells and reveals smoother, more refreshed skin beneath. It is well known that using clay masks cleanses problem skin and removes blemishes. If you have dry or sensitive skin, use a green clay mask only once a week, as the clay will absorb not only impurities and toxins but also moisture from your skin.
Preparing the clay:
To a teaspoon of clay — the spoon must not be metal — add two teaspoons of aloe vera, tea, or oil (castor, olive, almond, or grapeseed oil). Combine the clay and your chosen liquid in a small bowl, which again must not be metal. Do not stir; instead allow the clay to absorb the liquid and swell on its own, and only then mix (with a non-metal spoon, stick,…!). Apply the mask prepared in this way to a clean, dry face or to a problem area of the skin, such as acne. Do not apply the clay directly around the eyes and lips. Leave on for a maximum of fifteen minutes (less is better than more), as otherwise the clay will begin to release toxins and impurities back into the skin. Gently rinse the clay off the face with warm water.
The clay is packaged in zip/alu or PE bags!
IMPORTANT: the colour of green clay can range from almost beige/light green to dark green!
