Uses:
- for depression, stressful situations, insomnia, anxiety,…
- for nervousness, rapid heartbeat, and high blood pressure;
- for skin care, as it regenerates and promotes healing;
- for hair tip care;
- in natural perfumes;
- also acts as an aphrodisiac.

NOTE: Ylang Ylang essential oil is produced by fractional distillation (distillation in stages), which
typically takes up to 24 hours, yielding oils of five qualities: extra, I., II., III., and complete. These
fractions are collected separately according to distillation time. The first stage is "extra" and this oil contains the most
sweetness, which is why it is widely used in the perfume industry. It is followed by I., II., and III. The "complete" oil
is obtained by running the distillation continuously. Ylang ylang III has an intense aroma and is
distilled for up to 18 hours.

Special warnings: May cause skin irritation. In excessive amounts it may cause headaches and
dizziness. A concentration of up to 0.8% is recommended for skin application. Should not be used on inflamed
skin or in cases of dermatitis. Do not use on children under 2 years of age.

Allergens: eugenol, linalol, geraniol, benzyl salicylate, benzyl benzonate, farnesol

Aromatherapy tip with recipe:

Summer body care oil
50 g monoi oil (a macerate of Tahitian gardenia in coconut oil)
3-8 drops EO ylang ylang III (depending on the desired fragrance intensity)

Preparation: Weigh the monoi oil into a bowl and add the essential oil. Mix well, store in
suitable packaging, and keep in a cool, dark place.

Use: Apply the mixture all over the body, preferably on damp skin after stepping out of the shower. Also very
suitable for summer after-sun care, as it regenerates the skin.
