Uses:

- for digestive complaints: pain, flatulence, cramps, stimulating peristalsis,…

- for nausea, dizziness, motion sickness and headaches;

- for improved focus, concentration, and to combat mental fatigue;

- for inflammations and pain relief: sore muscles, nerve inflammation, joint pain, bruises,…

- for fever and hot pain, as it has a cooling effect.

Note: depending on the amount of essential oil used, peppermint can have either a cooling or warming effect.

Methods of use: in ointments, massage oils, in diffusers/vaporisers, inhalation,…

Special warnings: May cause irritation of the skin and mucous membranes. Not recommended for use with children under 5 years of age. Do not use in baths. Not recommended for use before bedtime, as it is stimulating. People with blood clotting disorders should not use this essential oil. If you are taking homeopathic remedies, consult your homeopath.

Aromatherapy tip with recipe:

Liquid hand sanitising soap

250 ml castile soap (prepared base)

15 drops EO lemongrass

20 drops EO peppermint

5 drops EO tea tree

30 drops EO lime

Preparation: Pour the liquid castile soap and essential oils into a measuring cup with a funnel (ideally alternating). Stir well and transfer to a pump bottle.

Use: Use the soap as normal. The blend has antibacterial properties and sanitises excellently. It also refreshes and lifts your mood :)
