Silk Peptide Powder

Silk peptides are finely processed, fully water-soluble polypeptides derived from natural mulberry silk. They are a more highly purified form of hydrolysed silk proteins with smaller molecules, making them effective even at lower concentrations.

INCORPORATION INTO FORMULATIONS

First dissolve the silk peptides in a small amount of purified or distilled water. Add them during the cool-down phase at a temperature below 40 °C and mix thoroughly.

The maximum recommended processing temperature is 60 °C. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures may affect the quality of the peptides and cause a slight change in colour.

The recommended pH range of the finished product is 5.0–6.5. Avoid strong acids, strong alkalis, high concentrations of alcohol, powerful oxidising agents and extreme pH values.
