Pink clay

Pink clay is a gentle blend of two mild clays that cares for the most sensitive skin types. Pink clay has a soothing and neutral action, respects the skin's natural pH, and gently improves the skin's natural texture. Its components provide additional softness and radiance to the skin.

Clay acts like a sponge (it is extremely hydrophilic) for all toxins and excess substances that are absorbed in and on the skin. Thanks to its special physicochemical properties, clay is able to distinguish between what is beneficial (healthy) and what is harmful for the body or living organism, and therefore absorbs only those substances that need to be removed.

The most widespread method of using clay is clay masks, which are designed for intensive cleansing, detoxifying, and skin renewal. Regular use of clay masks (by which we of course mean frequent and repeated use) brings many positive effects. The most important are of course cleansing and detoxifying the skin, but the exfoliating effect and stimulated circulation are also not to be overlooked.

Preparing the clay:
To a teaspoon of clay — the spoon must not be metal — add two teaspoons of aloe vera, tea, or oil (castor, olive, almond, or grapeseed oil). Combine the clay and your chosen liquid in a small bowl, which again must not be metal. Do not stir; instead allow the clay to absorb the liquid and swell on its own, and only then mix (with a non-metal spoon, stick,…!). Apply the mask prepared in this way to a clean, dry face or to a problem area of the skin, such as acne. Do not apply the clay directly around the eyes and lips. Leave on for a maximum of fifteen minutes (less is better than more), as otherwise the clay will begin to release toxins and impurities back into the skin. Gently rinse the clay off the face with warm water.

Important:

• Use ceramic, glass, or plastic containers and utensils.
• Add the liquid gradually (until you have a smooth, spreadable paste) and wait 5 minutes for the clay to swell.
• Apply a thin, even layer of clay paste to cleansed skin, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
• It is recommended to use once to twice a week.
• Store dry clay in a closed wooden, glass, or plastic container.
