Rhassoul clay

Rhassoul clay comes from a deposit in Morocco, the only one of its kind in the world, located on the edge of the Middle Atlas mountains in the Moulouya valley, approximately 150 – 200 km from the city of Fez. The clay has been used continuously for cosmetic purposes since antiquity; even its name derives from the Arabic word rassala, which in Arabic means washing.

We are talking about a completely natural mineral with excellent cleansing, restorative, and detoxifying properties, as it removes excess fat, impurities, and toxins from the deepest layers of the skin. It is therefore excellent, among other things, for caring for acne-prone skin.

Due to its remarkable properties, Rhassoul clay is used in the production of creams, skin masks, shampoos, soaps, body gels, and more…

Studies have shown that Rhassoul clay:

• reduces skin dryness
• reduces skin flaking
• cleanses the skin
• improves skin elasticity
• improves skin texture
• removes dead skin layers and smooths the skin

The clay is dried in the hot Moroccan sun.

Rhassoul clay hair mask:

• 3 tablespoons of rhassoul clay
• 1 tablespoon of honey
• juice of half a lemon, squeezed
• 3 tablespoons of warm water

*one tablespoon = 15 ml

In a ceramic or glass bowl, mix the honey, lemon juice, and water, then add the rhassoul clay. Stir until you obtain a thick paste.

Apply the paste to wet hair and gently massage it into the scalp and through the hair. Leave the mask on for approx. 10 minutes, then thoroughly rinse your hair and scalp with warm water. Use a gentle shampoo if needed.

WARNING: The mask may cause dryness of the hair, so we recommend applying a little argan or jojoba oil to the ends of your hair before applying the mask.
