Waxed SP candle wicks (various thicknesses)

The flame and heat produced by a candle depend on the thickness of the wick, particularly on the number of threads that make up the wick. The greater the thickness, the larger the flame and the faster the wax will be consumed.

SP wicks are 100% cotton, which gives them good rigidity in melted wax, excellent capillary action and a robust flame. They can be used for vegetable wax candles, scented or unscented.

SP wicks are mounted on a sustainer and are also available in waxed or unwaxed spools.

Waxed wicks, cut and mounted on a sustainer, are available in various lengths.

**Reference wick type / melt pool diameter (mm):**

- SP 30: diameter 30–40 mm (wick length 10cm)

- SP 50: diameter 50–60 mm (wick length 5.5cm)
 
- SP 70: diameter 70–80 mm (wick length 7.5cm)

- SP 90: diameter 90–100 mm (wick length 9cm)

These measurements are based on laboratory tests using vegetable wax without fragrances or colorants. If you use fragrances and colorants, it is best to perform a test burn first.
