Wooden wick (for candles) with metal base

Our single flat wooden wicks are made from a single piece of natural wood. They provide a soft, gently crackling burn that is ideal for plant-based candles and is reminiscent of the soothing feeling of burning wood in a fireplace.

WARNING:

Wooden wicks are generally more suitable for experienced candle makers, as their correct burning (smoldering) is highly dependent on the choice of wax or the right wax blend. In addition, wooden wicks do not work optimally with all fragrances or essential oils.

Experience shows that candles with wooden wicks purchased in stores may work excellently with certain fragrances, while when using some essential oils (e.g. cinnamon essential oil) they are often inadequate or unsuitable for their purpose.

Tovarna Organika therefore recommends that you first test a wooden wick in one small test candle. This way you can verify its performance in practice in your chosen wax (or combination of waxes) and with your chosen fragrance, color, and other additives.
