Uses:

- for digestive issues: pain, flatulence, cramps, stimulating peristalsis,…

- for nausea, dizziness, travel sickness and headaches;

- for better focus, concentration, against mental fatigue;

- for inflammation and pain relief: sore muscles, nerve inflammation, joint pain, bruises,…

- for fever and hot pain, as it cools.

Note: depending on the amount of essential oil used, peppermint can have a cooling or warming effect.

Methods of use: in ointments, massage oils, in diffusers/vaporisers, inhalation,…

Special warnings: May cause irritation to skin and mucous membranes. Use in children under 5 years of age is not recommended. Do not use in baths. Not recommended for use before bedtime, as it is stimulating. People with blood clotting problems should not use this essential oil. If taking homeopathic remedies, consult your homeopath.

Aromatherapy tip with recipe:

Headache blend

30 ml base oil

3 drops EO peppermint

4 drops EO frankincense boswellia

3 drops EO rosewood

2 drops EO sweet marjoram

Preparation: Combine the essential oils in a dark 30 ml bottle and rub between your hands (mix well). Add the base oil (e.g. jojoba, almond), seal tightly, label and store in a cool, dark place.

Use: Begin the massage as soon as you feel the first pain. Rub into the shoulder area and back of the neck, you can also massage the soles of the feet and rub into the temples.
