Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate PGMO.4 (Hydriol) is a non-ionic emulsifier of plant origin, PEG-free, for oil-in-water emulsions such as creams and lotions, particularly for essential oils. It is an ideal raw material for use in natural cosmetics.
It is characterized primarily by skin-friendly properties and a subtle scent, so a fragrance oil is not necessarily required.

With this emulsifier, it is very easy to prepare an oil-milk formulation.
At a 20% concentration in a cleansing oil or oil-milk formulation, the skin feel upon application is very rich, yet it is practically non-sticky. As soon as it comes into contact with water, the system emulsifies and can be easily rinsed off. It leaves a pleasant, moisturizing and smoothing effect.
It generally works well with oils with an iodine value above 80, such as almond oil, wheat germ oil, hemp oil, rosehip oil, etc. However, it does not work well with jojoba oil, avocado oil, shea butter, coconut oil, babassu oil, etc.

Processing instructions:

It generally dissolves very well in the fatty phase, but if it does not, heating the fatty phase while stirring usually helps.
