Lavender soap making kit

The package contains:

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

- 360 g palm oil
- 360 g coconut oil
- 180 g olive oil
- 342 g water
- 134 g sodium hydroxide
- 10 ml lavender essential oil
- dried lavender flowers

PREPARATION:
In the first container, melt the palm and coconut oil over a double boiler, then add the olive oil. Wait for the mixture to cool to around 40° C. In a second container (plastic or glass), prepare the appropriate sodium hydroxide solution in cold distilled water, then wait for it to cool to approximately 40° C. Pour the NaOH water solution into the first container with the dissolved fat and stir. When the mixture is no longer completely liquid, add the essential oil, and optionally colour and flowers (you can also sprinkle the flowers on top of the soap at the end).
Pour the mixture into a mould lined with baking paper and wrap it in blankets. Wait for the soap to cool and set sufficiently, cut it, and then cure for another 3-6 weeks.

IT IS ESSENTIAL TO FOLLOW ALL SAFE SOAP-MAKING PROCEDURES AND TO USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (GLOVES, MASK, GOGGLES, CLOTHING) AND WORK IN A WELL-VENTILATED SPACE, ESPECIALLY WHEN COMBINING LYE AND WATER.

If lye or a lye water solution comes into contact with skin, neutralise it with vinegar, so you must always keep an open bottle of vinegar within reach.
