Calendula soap making kit

Package contains:

- palm oil

- calendula macerate

The package with mold also includes a Wooden soap mold with silicone liner.

RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:

- 360 g palm oil
- 360 g coconut oil
- 180 g calendula macerate
- 342 g water
- 134 g sodium hydroxide
- 10 ml orange essential oil
- dried calendula flowers

PREPARATION:
In the first pot, melt the palm and coconut oil over a double boiler, then add the calendula oil. Allow everything to cool to around 40° C. In a second container (plastic or glass), prepare the appropriate sodium hydroxide solution in cold distilled water, then wait for it to cool to approximately 40° C. Pour the NaOH solution into the first pot with the melted fats and stir. When the mixture is no longer completely liquid, add the essential oil, and optionally color and flowers (flowers can also be sprinkled on top of the soap at the end).
Pour the mixture into a mold lined with baking paper and wrap it in blankets. Wait for the soap to cool and harden sufficiently, then cut it and allow it to cure for another 3–6 weeks.

IT IS ESSENTIAL TO FOLLOW ALL SAFE SOAP-MAKING PROCEDURES AND TO USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (GLOVES, MASK, GOGGLES, CLOTHING) AND TO WORK IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA, ESPECIALLY WHEN COMBINING LYE AND WATER.

If lye or a lye solution comes into contact with skin, neutralize it with vinegar, so you must always keep an open bottle of vinegar within reach.
