Montanov TM 68 - emulsifier

Montanov TM 68 is a top-quality emulsifier, suitable for making both rich creams and creams with a lighter texture. It is used in ECOCERT and BDIH cosmetics, is biodegradable and requires no additional stabilizers.

Montanov 68 is an O/W emulsifying wax based on cetearyl alcohol and cetearyl glucoside, derived from coconut oil and cassava. Montanov does not irritate the skin, is non-comedogenic and biodegradable. It is particularly suitable for rich yet sufficiently absorbent creams that leave a silky feeling on the skin.

When mixing, it is important to beat at full power for the first 2–4 minutes, or use an electric mixer.

A cream made with this emulsifier should have a pH of 5.5–6.

The cream develops its consistency after 24–48 hours.

It is typically used at between 4 and 6%.
