Lemon eucalyptus essential oil
Latin name: Eucalyptus citriodora
Note: There are several species of eucalyptus (globulus, radiata, citriodora, smithii, dives), so be careful which one you use, as the chemical structure and action are very different!

We use it:
- in natural repellents (one of the most effective EOs for this purpose!);
- for respiratory problems: bronchitis, catarrh, cold, flu, sinusitis,…
- for arthritis;
- to stimulate circulation;
- to reduce fever or in inflammations, as it cools.
Methods of use: in ointments, massage oils, for inhalations, in diffusers/vaporizers, in natural repellents,…
Special warnings: If oxidized, it can cause skin irritation. Use at a concentration below 1%.
Allergens: limonene, geranial and neral (citral), citronellol
Aromatherapy tip with recipe:
Spray repellent
100 ml peppermint hydrolate
10 drops EO lemon eucalyptus
10 drops EO citronella
5 drops EO patchouli
5 drops EO cedarwood
Preparation: Drop the essential oils into a 100 ml bottle of peppermint hydrolate. Store in a cool and dark place.
Use: Spray the repellent over all areas of skin that will be exposed. Repeat regularly. Shake the bottle well before each use!
