An ingredient for toothpastes, decorative cosmetics, and natural cleaners.

Calcium carbonate, with the chemical formula CaCO 3, is most commonly used in cosmetics in toothpastes. There it acts as an abrasive that helps remove impurities and dental plaque. It is also frequently found in deodorants, where it helps absorb moisture, and in powder makeup, where it increases the intensity and durability of pigments while also binding moisture.

Usage: toothpastes (up to 15%), powder makeup (2-5%), deodorants (up to 5%).

Calcium carbonate is not soluble in water or oil. The concentration is adjusted according to the desired texture and effect.
