This is a plant-derived emulsifier obtained from Italian olive oil. It is an oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier that is non-ionic, very mild and dermatologically tested.
A major advantage of this emulsifier is that it allows the preparation of emulsions by both cold and hot processes, making it highly versatile and easy to use. It can be used to create very light emulsions and fluid formulations, as well as any other products where low viscosity is desired. It provides excellent structure and stability (liquid crystal structure). Also suitable for formulations with surfactants/tensides.
Particularly suitable for: lotions, body milks, gel creams, moisturising wipes

Certifications/standards: Cosmos
Soluble: in the oil phase, which should be between 6 and 20%
Usage: 4–6%

Intensive mechanical mixing is required.

It performs best in combination with a stabiliser or an additional emulsifier. Without a stabiliser, the emulsion may break down.
