Emulsifying wax NF - E wax

Emulsifying Wax NF - E wax is gentle on your skin and easy to use in your homemade creams, body butters, salt and sugar scrubs, and lotions. You can regulate the consistency of the emulsion by varying the percentage of wax used relative to the weight of the other ingredients. The wax is used in a range of 2% to 20% of the total weight of the finished product. Typically, 2–5% emulsifying wax is used when making a lotion, 5–7% for creams, and 10–15% for body butters.

Emulsifying wax can be used on its own or in combination with other emulsifiers (lecithin) to improve the viscosity and stability of your formulations.

The wax comes in the form of small white pastilles for easy weighing and handling.
