We use it:
- in treating skin inflammation: acne, eczema, wounds,…
- for cramps and inflammation, against swelling;
- for joint and muscle pain,…
- in natural repellents, as it repels mosquitoes and insects;
- for calming;
- in natural perfumes.
Methods of use: in massage oils, ointments, natural repellents and candles, natural perfumes,…
Special warnings: May irritate the skin.
Allergens: geraniol, citronellol, linalool, nerol.
Aromatherapy tip with recipe:
Blend for a good night's sleep
30 ml base oil, ointment or lotion
3 drops EO citronella
5 drops EO lavender
2 drops EO melissa
4 drops EO Roman chamomile
Preparation: Drop the essential oils into a dark 30 ml bottle and rub between your hands (mix well). Add approx. 30 ml of vegetable oil (e.g. almond, hazelnut, jojoba), seal well, label and store in a cool, dark place. You can also make an ointment or lotion (in the same quantity) and add the essential oils.
Use: Massage the blend into the shoulder area of the back and apply to the chest area. Enjoy a peaceful night :)
