Tremella fuciformis, also known as snow mushroom or snow fungus, is a modern cosmetic active ingredient rich in natural polysaccharides. It helps bind and retain moisture while forming a delicate, flexible hydrating film on the skin’s surface.

The extract contributes to softer, smoother and comfortably hydrated skin. It is particularly suitable for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, as well as for products designed to provide a fresher and plumper appearance without a heavy or greasy feel.

Due to its excellent hydrating properties, Tremella is often described as a natural alternative inspired by hyaluronic acid. The two ingredients are not chemically identical, but both help improve skin hydration and smoothness.

RECOMMENDED USE LEVEL

2–5%

For most hydrating serums and creams, we recommend starting at 3%.

HOW TO USE

Tremella is a liquid, water-soluble extract that can be added directly to the water phase of a cosmetic formulation.

In emulsions, serums and gels, it is best added during the cool-down phase or towards the end of the manufacturing process. Mix thoroughly after addition to ensure even distribution.

Example for 100 g of finished product:

2% = 2 g
3% = 3 g
5% = 5 g

Subtract the amount used from the water or hydrosol content of the formulation.

STORAGE

Store in the original tightly closed container, protected from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations. The recommended storage temperature is approximately 15–25°C.

Minor colour changes, slight cloudiness or sediment may occur during storage. These natural variations do not necessarily indicate a loss of quality. Mix gently before use.
