Silk powder (hydrolyzed silk proteins)

Hydrolyzed silk proteins are intended for use in cosmetics that contain an aqueous phase. Silk powder is composed of the protein fibroin, which contains 18 types of amino acids and has a composition similar to that of human skin and hair, which is why our skin absorbs it so well.

Silk proteins can be used in a wide range of products, primarily in those that moisturize and prevent skin dehydration. In hair care cosmetics they are used because they add shine and improve elasticity. They are also added to makeup and products that give our skin a beautiful glow.

Usage:
- Shampoos and conditioners: 0.5–3%
- Products for damaged hair: 1–5%
- Creams and lotions: 1–5%
- Powders: 1–3%
- Soaps: 1–3%

Appearance: yellowish powder
