Snail slime - secretion

Snail secretion is a high-quality ingredient sourced from an organically certified Italian farm. The snails (Helix aspersa variety) live in good conditions in which they naturally secrete their mucin.

Snail secretion is rich in active compounds such as allantoin, elastin, collagen, glycolic acid, vitamins (A, C, E) and essential amino acids. These are important components also found in human skin and are key to healthy, beautiful skin. Snail extract regenerates the skin and stimulates its renewal, provides intensive moisture, and helps accelerate the shedding of keratinised cells in the upper layers of the epidermis.

This ingredient is most commonly added to products for skin regeneration, particularly in the case of scars (including those caused by acne), stretch marks and expression marks. It is also used in anti-age cosmetics to prevent and improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, to lighten pigmentation spots, patches and freckles.

Used in: creams, serums, lotions, and products for the care of scars and stretch marks

Solubility: in water (add to the cool phase), anionic and non-ionic surfactants (limited compatibility with cationic surfactants)

Usage: no restriction, as it can also be used on its own (1–100%)
