Pentylene glycol
Pentylene glycol is a moisturizer made from sugarcane, used in cosmetic and beauty products, and is also secondarily used as a solvent and preservative. It is water-soluble and has antimicrobial properties. Natural pentylene glycol helps inhibit the growth of microorganisms on the skin. It is water-soluble, serves as a solution mediator, and is colorless and odorless. Natural pentylene glycol is produced from sugarcane and is very suitable for natural cosmetics.
Pentylene glycol is not a common ingredient in skin care formulas. This chemical is often added to products as an additional moisturizing ingredient, intended to improve skin texture.
