Organic refined argan oil is obtained from the unroasted kernels of the argan tree (Argania spinosa), which grows primarily in Morocco. After mechanical pressing and filtration, the oil is refined, giving it a lighter colour and a considerably milder, almost neutral odour compared with virgin argan oil.

Its neutral odour makes it an excellent choice for creams, lotions, serums, balms and haircare products. It does not overpower added fragrances or essential oils and has minimal impact on the colour of the finished product.

Argan oil contains mainly oleic and linoleic fatty acids. It softens and conditions the skin, helps reduce feelings of dryness and supports a smooth and supple appearance. It forms a pleasant protective lipid layer without leaving an excessively heavy or greasy feel.

Use on the skin

Argan oil is suitable for facial and body care, particularly for dry, mature or dehydrated skin. It can be used on its own or as an ingredient in:

• facial creams and emulsions;

• oil-based facial serums;

• body lotions and body butters;

• lip balms;

• ointments and conditioning balms;

• massage oils;

• hand and nail care products;

• after-sun skincare products.

When used on its own, apply a few drops to slightly damp skin and massage gently.

Use on the hair

Thanks to its mild odour, refined argan oil is also highly suitable for haircare products. It helps smooth the hair surface, improves softness and reduces the dry feel of the ends.

Suitable for making:

• hair conditioners and masks;

• oil serums for the ends;

• conditioning hair oils;

• solid shampoo bars;

• beard balms;

• products for dry and stressed scalps.

For the ends of the hair, spread one or two drops between the palms and apply gently to dry or slightly damp hair.

Recommended use levels

• Creams and lotions: 2–10%

• Balms and ointments: 5–30%

• Haircare products: 1–10%

• Oil serums and massage oils: 10–100%

• Used on its own: up to 100%

Add to the oil phase of the formulation. Where the manufacturing process allows, prolonged exposure to high temperatures should be avoided.

Storage

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry and dark place, protected from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Always close the packaging securely after use.
