Kahai oil (cacay)

Botanical name: Caryodendron Orinocense
Description:
Obtained from seeds by cold pressing. It is refined, stable and used as a base/carrier oil. It originates from Brazil.

Kahai oil is obtained by pressing the seeds of the Caryodendron Orinocense tree. It is exceptionally rich in vitamin A (even more so than rosehip oil), linoleic acid (more than argan oil) and vitamin E (twice as much as argan oil), making it the latest »miracle« oil. Because it is so rich in skin-nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids, Cacay oil is currently regarded as a champion for anti-aging care, and with its rejuvenating properties it is also perfect
for use in the care of scars, stretch marks, and skin blemishes.

Planting and harvesting cacay nuts helps improve the lives of poor families in Amazonian regions of South America. Families collect nuts that have fallen from trees or plant their own trees to grow and sell the nuts. Although it is currently only a small part of their income, as the popularity of this oil grows, so does their revenue. When the oil is pressed from the Cacay nut, the remaining content is ground into flour. The inner
shell is used to feed cattle or used as fertilizer, while the outer shell is used for heating, as it produces very high temperatures when burned.

Uses:
Used for mature skin, acne, scars, stretch marks, hair volume and shine. Add a drop or two of Cacay oil to your shampoo or conditioner to nourish the scalp and add volume and healthy shine to your hair.
It is light and absorbs quickly.

Shelf life is 24 months with proper storage (cool, not exposed to direct sunlight). After opening, storage in the refrigerator is recommended.

For 10 g of serum you will need:

3 g kahai oil
2 g squalane
1 g rice bran oil
1 g rosehip oil
1 g TETRA - C
0,95 g wheat germ oil
0,9 g hazelnut oil
0,1 g bakuchiol
0,04 g Italian helichrysum essential oil
0,01 g CO2 rosemary extract
Preparation:

Weigh out the ingredients and store in suitable packaging. Best in a sterilized dark glass bottle, kept in a dark place away from heat sources.

Used as carrier and base oils:

Kahai oil: has a rich content of skin-nourishing substances that are important for skin rejuvenation, care of scars, stretch marks, and skin blemishes.
Squalane: is naturally present in sebum, where it moisturizes and softens the skin, absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy feeling.
Rice bran oil: is a stable and light oil with the ability to absorb UVA and UVB rays, protects against oxidation and is suitable for the care of sensitive, irritated and damaged skin.
Wheat germ oil: is suitable for mature, sensitive, cracked, dry skin, has a high content of vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, promotes skin cell formation and blood circulation, protects against external influences.
Hazelnut oil: is a highly nourishing oil, absorbs quickly, regulates sebum production and is also suitable for acne-prone skin, promotes blood circulation and acts as an astringent (tightens tissue – reducing dark circles).
Used as active ingredients:

TETRA C: is a lipophilic form of vitamin C.
Rosehip fruit/seed oil: has an exceptional regenerative effect.
BACHUCIOL: stimulates collagen production, reduces wrinkles, has antioxidative action, soothes acne.
CO2 rosemary extract: prevents oxidation of fats while also acting as a powerful antioxidant, anti-aging and skin-protective agent.
