Latin name: Eucalyptus globulus
Note: There are several species of eucalyptus (globulus, radiata, citriodora, smithii, dives), so be careful which one
you use, as the chemical structure and effects vary greatly!

Extraction method: steam distillation of leaves

Used:
- for respiratory infections accompanied by cough: relieves coughing attacks, destroys bacteria, soothes inflammation,
acts as an antispasmodic,…
- for prevention during periods of illness: when we are around people who are already sick (home, work,
hospital);
- for urinary tract infections and to promote urination;
- for viral infections: flu, herpes, chickenpox,…
- for tight muscles, pain, and headaches.
Methods of use: in ointments, massage oils, for inhalations, in diffusers/evaporators, in creams and lotions,
natural cleaning products,…
Special warnings: If oxidised, it may cause skin irritation. It may interact with homeopathic remedies.
Do not use for children under 10 years of age. Use with caution for asthmatics.
Allergens: linalool, limonene
Aromatherapy tip with recipe:
Floor cleaner
500 ml vinegar
3-4 L water
10 drops EO eucalyptus globulus
10 drops EO peppermint
10 drops EO lemon
5 drops EO pine
Preparation: Add the essential oils to a cup with vinegar. Stir well and pour into a bucket of water.
Use: Clean the floor as usual and enjoy the scent, which will also boost your immune system :)
