CO2 rosemary extract - BIO

INCI: Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract 

Rosemary is known as a plant with an exceptionally high proportion of antioxidants and, due to its high concentration of polyphenols, has outstanding antioxidant activity. The CO2 extract is made using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. It is used in cosmetic products and in tests has shown even greater efficacy than tocopherol (vitamin E).

In addition to acting as a powerful antioxidant in cosmetics, it also has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, and is used as an anti-aging ingredient, for skin cleansing, and for protecting the skin against external influences.

Product description: dark brown to green color, liquid at room temperature and semi-solid when cold, mild rosemary scent

Composition: phenolic diterpenes: 13–15%, of which at least 9% carnosic acid

Usage: 0.05 – 0.1% (for saturated fats) and 0.2 – 0.4% (for polyunsaturated fats)

Solubility: in fat (sensitive to heat, so it is added in the cool-down phase)
