Raw material: Punica granatum - Seed, dried, from organic farming
Production: By supercritical fluid extraction with natural carbon dioxide, without solvent residues, without inorganic salts, without heavy metals, without detectable microorganisms [1]. The extract is stabilized with an antioxidant rosemary extract (organic).
D/E ratio: 6.0 – 10.0 kg of pomegranate seeds per 1 kg of product.
Organoleptic description: Yellow oil, viscous consistency at room temperature.
Composition: CO2 extract of pomegranate seeds (organic), 0.1% antioxidant rosemary extract (organic)
Ingredients: Fatty oil with more than 60% punicic acid (C18:3 w5), conjugated linolenic acid (CLnA). In addition, the extract contains tocopherols, sterols, and a small amount of squalane.

Traditional use: In Ayurvedic medicine, pomegranate seeds are used to treat fever or polydipsia (pathological thirst) [2]. The extract is also an antioxidant and may have anti-inflammatory effects [3].
Cosmetic use: Due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, the extract is used in skin care products and has a soothing effect on irritated, dry, and sensitive skin. The extract also promotes the formation of keratinocytes. Keratinocytes are part of the epidermis, the outermost layer of the skin, and produce keratin, which protects the skin and gives it stability [4]. Therefore, pomegranate seed extract is suitable for all skin care products, especially skin creams, massage oils, or hand creams.
Shelf life: Unopened packaging at least 2 years when protected from light and stored under the following conditions: Store in a cool and dry place!
