Cyclomethicone

It is also added to lotions and creams for a silky, powdery feel. It is also useful in hair products as it adds shine and reduces frizz. It performs excellently in the preparation of body oil sprays, as well as fragrance sprays for rooms or bedding. It is also found in most so-called “roll on” dry deodorants. In perfumes, it is used in a ratio of 10% fragrance to 90% cyclomethicone.

Since not every fragrance is compatible with cyclomethicone, we perform a test where we add a drop of the chosen fragrance to one milliliter of cyclomethicone. We shake it vigorously and observe the mixture. If it remains mixed and the two components do not separate, then the fragrance is compatible with cyclomethicone and can be used in our sprays or products.

Cyclomethicone is also an excellent lubricant for your plastic soap molds before pouring, as it allows easier removal of the finished soaps.
