It is a cationic (co)emulsifier, designed primarily for creating hair care products. It is ideal for use in shampoos, shampoo bars, conditioners and other hair care treatments. It helps prevent tangling and knotting of hair and has an antistatic effect. It makes hair soft, silky and does not weigh it down.
It is of plant origin, derived from palm oil. It is biodegradable and holds BDIH and Ecocert certification for natural cosmetics.
The emulsifier is also used in the production of emulsions (creams, lotions, etc.) in combination with other emulsifiers, as it ensures a more stable emulsion.
Soluble: in oil and aqueous phase with low pH, at approx. 70° C
Usage: 1-5% (in rinse-off products 1-3%, in shampoos 0.5-2%, other products: 1-5%)
Warning: the aqueous phase of the product should have a pH between 4.5 and 5.5
