Babassu oil/butter - refined

Babassu oil/butter is a light, slightly yellow (white when solid) vegetable oil obtained from the seeds of the babassu palm, which grows in the Amazon region of South America, primarily in Brazil. Babassu is in the form of a butter at temperatures up to 24°C, and at higher temperatures it turns into a liquid oil. It is used in cooking, cleaning products, and cosmetics, as it has similar properties to coconut oil/butter. Many people use it as a substitute for coconut oil.

 

BABASSU OIL/BUTTER has a very dry feel on the skin and absorbs very quickly. The oil does not leave a greasy or sticky feeling or an unpleasant shine. Due to its specific fatty acid composition, babassu oil is suitable for versatile skin protection. Babassu oil also aids in skin regeneration and has a beneficial effect on connective skin tissue. After use, the skin is soft, smooth, supple, and nourished. It is suitable for general care of all skin types, including delicate baby skin. It is also suitable for hair care and is effective for lip care and protection. Babassu oil performs particularly well in blends with other oils and butters, or in aromatherapy combined with essential oils.
